Op 4 november 2010, hebben de mensen van Csoft. De spelregels aangepast, om een WiseImage licentie te verplaatsen of opnieuw te activeren.

Steeds meer gebruikers kiezen voor Software locking en niet voor hardware locking, hetgeen een grote stroom verzoeken om nieuwe licenties tot gevolg heeft, het werk en de kosten die hiermee gemoeid zijn rijzen de pan uit. De meeste verzoeken komen rechtsreeks van de users naar ons en naar CSOFT. Alle verzoeken wereldwijd zorgen bij CSoft voor een dagtaak. CSoft heeft haar regels voor het re-activeren of verplaatsen van licenties bijgesteld, zie hieronder. Voor gebruikers met een oude licentie, zonder geldig SSA, betekent dit dat een re-activatie fee (€ 195) zal worden gerekend. Dit betekent dat het SSA nog meer voordeel biedt. Gebruikers met een geldig SSA kunnen licenties dus verplaatsen zonder bijkomende kosten. Dit geldt ook als er geen geldig SSA is, maar de meest recente versie van de software in gebruik is.  Heeft de gebruiker geen geldig SSA en niet de meest recente versie van het product, dan geldt de fee. Als alternatief kan de gebruiker kiezen voor aanschaf van een USB lock. Gebruikers van oude versies van de software kunnen direct een SSA afsluiten tijdens de aanschaf van een update naar de laatste versie. Om dit interessanter te maken geven we tot en met 15 december 2010, 10 % korting op de upgrade prijs als men ook direct een SSA afsluit.  Over de re-activatie fee geldt, als het proces via u loopt, uw dealerkorting. 

Regels van CSoft: 

Our SW is licensed to our customers. As a matter of fact it is the license that the customer is buying, not the SW in itself. This means that the only time it is required for our customer to buy a new license is when the license is physically stolen and not lost.  ü  Lost means that the installation is physically gone. It has been consumed by fire, dropped in a volcano or a body of water, computer is re-formatted or smashed or in other ways demolished. ü  Stolen is when the lock or computer containing the license is unaccounted for, then the license is considered still active and must be replaced by a new one with a normal purchase of the licensed product. What is the cost of replacements? ü  If the customer has an active SSA they will get the replacement for free.ü  If the customer does not have an active SSA and require a replacement license of the current product, it is also free.ü  If the customer does not have an active SSA and require a replacement license of an older than the current license (only the current selling version) the re-activation fee is valid. This fee is only for the re-activation of older than licenses. It does not include the install media for any older (not supported) version of the license. The install media must be stored safely so as to be able to use it for a re-installation should a license become lost or invalid. If not, the customer is faced with having to pay for an upgrade to the current version of the license.ü  If the customer does not have an active SSA and require a replacement license including an upgrade to the latest version of the license, then normal upgrade prices are valid.
